"Masa" Bag
For those of you that want to start the "Masa" Bag:- Make a rectangle of approximately 20 x 53 cm. The length:width ratio must be approximately 1:3. Use any stitch or combination of stitches in the yarns of your choice. You can even use squares or a combination of squares and straight rows!! Anything goes .... be creative!! We will finish this in one of the September classes. Happy Homework!!!

Crochet in Art
Jessica Bosworth Smith, a honours degree art student at Rhodes University, has made a HUGE (1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5m) sculpture that she wants to cover in crochet work. I have been commissioned to do the crochet work for her. I'm busy on the last couple of pieces and look forward to seeing the finished project that will go on exhibition in October.
We have used Ell Family Knit Double Knit in Cherry red, Black and White.
It is heartwarming to see "the younger generation" using crochet in all kinds of projects. Go Girl!!!
